Different forms of terrorism involve various degrees of selectivity in the choice of victims. Therefore there are three types of terrorism. They are : (a) State Sponsored Terrorism , (b) State Terrorism, and (c) Organizational Terrorism.
(a) State Sponsored Terrorism: It is always directed against another State, often by proxy, with an aim to disestablish it.
(b) State Terrorism: It is directed against a State's own citizens. It is often employed for political, economic, and social reasons.
(c) Organizational Terrorism: It is used by groups to realize divergent aims including political, social, and economic aims.
