Last and avowedly word

We are often told that we have progressed. Today we measure our civilization through the edification of weapons of mass destruction, the large numbers these demon machines could kill and the power such weapons helps us exert. What we need is a cool, well-ripened contemplating approach that could address the root cause of terrorism, of any kind.
In an increasingly violent and insecure world a carrot and stick framework may still be a better way to ensure better results in the long war against terrorism, for a better and peaceful world.
But we should know that our success in doing so is enhanced by engaging our friends and, at times, even enemies too, to receive the crucial diplomatic, military, intelligence, and financial support that can lighten our load and add legitimacy to our actions.

War on Terror

Days after the 9/11 terror attacks, the U.S. launched the war on terror with a dreadful warning that "Either you are with us or against us." Eight years after 9/11, the war on terror is being carried across in Asia, Africa and Europe too.
The major key element of the war on terrorism is rendition which involves capturing terror suspects and holding them without charge and the most dangerous terrorist have been held at the Camp Delta prison in Guantanamo Bay.
And the war on terror which was plunged by America fermented for it, as there has been no terror attack since 9/11 in their soil, although in Iraq and Afghanistan their forces have suffered massive casualties. From garnering sympathy post 9/11 to resentment from the same people, America has come a long way, albeit a wrong way.
India also has stepped into war on terror after being terrified due to Mumbai attacks i.e. 26/11. India has allegedly adjudge a civil war against Pakistan for its heinous act. Also 26/11 has relegated the Pak's in the eye of the global map.

Impact of Terrorism

The impact of terrorism is getting escalated day by day. Important is that, it is not just the act of violence that leaves an adverse impact; in fact, the bare threat of violence that causes psychological trauma in the betrothed victim. The terrorism causes threat to security of life and property, engenders a climate of fear, hurts economic growth and livelihood, creates uncertainty for foreign investment and impact country's international standing.

" The terrible thing about terrorism is that ultimately it destroys those who practice it. Slowly but surely, as they try to extinguish life in others, the light within them dies ." (Terry Waite)
